Free Form

I am interested in the dichotomy form can create. On the one hand a feeling of fragility and virtual collapse while on the other a sublime inner strength and stubborn determination. The brightness of pure white plaster acts highlights the positive while the space between is defined as negative space. A balance in the contradiction is the desired effect.

I have attempted to give the forms multiple facets. The forms are static from one point but take on a sense of movement when the viewer moves around the sculpture. The viewer is continually presented with a new form depending on the view point.
